A doctor from the West of Santa Catarina was arrested on a preventive basis on Wednesday (31), while he is investigated for recording naked patients during consultations and storing more than 13 images containing scenes of child pornography, according to the State Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPSC).
Three search and seizure warrants were served against the suspect. In addition, the District of Itapiranga determined the precautionary suspension of administrative contracts for the provision of medical services by the investigated with the state or municipalities of Santa Catarina. The operation, which took place this morning, was an unfolding of actions carried out on November 24, 2023, when CyberGaeco (Nucleus of the Special Action Group for the Repression of Organized Crime for digital crimes) served search and seizure warrants against the suspect, which, in turn, resulted in the seizure of various electronic equipment.
With the data extracted and the preparation of expert reports, the Santa Catarina investigators confirmed that, in addition to storing content of child pornography scenes, the investigated would also have clandestinely recorded naked women patients in consultations.
The investigation continues in secrecy, and the man’s name has not been disclosed. The illegal filming would have been made in the midst of consultations carried out inside the hospital where the suspect worked.
