An impactful video showing children in a transparent aquarium tunnel with a giant crocodile approaching has gone viral, accumulating more than 50 million views on social media.
The recording, made in January during a visit to the Miami Zoo, shows the crocodile prowling the children and trying to attack the glass that protects them.
The creator of the content, Tayane Duarte, a Brazilian from Minas Gerais who resides in the USA, shared the video on social media, which quickly spread, generating a wave of reactions.
The clip, which captured the moment when the crocodile comes dangerously close to the tunnel, generated great concern among viewers, with many expressing fear and unease in the face of the situation.
In an interview with Crescer, Tayane explained that the incident occurred during the family’s second visit to the zoo. Despite the crocodile’s behavior, which proved typical for a predator, his daughters were not frightened.
She pointed out that the crocodile’s behavior is natural and that the tunnel glass is designed to withstand animal attacks.
