Bones of young woman reported missing were buried with hydraulic machine, police say

Companion is suspected of having killed DayaraReproduction

O body of Dayara Talissa Fernandes da Cruz, 21 years old, was buried by a hydraulic machine, according to the delegate responsible for the case, Kennet Carvalho. The young woman was sunk into a 5-meter-deep hole on a farm in Orizona, south of Goiás. She had been reported missing by her partner, Paulo Antônio Eruelinton Bianchini, 34.

Bianchini was indicted for killing the woman, hiding the corpse and impersonating her in messages to the family. A video shows the place where her bones were found. See:

Paulo Bianchini has been in prison since July 1st. The businessman’s lawyers said that he is a first-time offender, with a good record, fixed residence and that he voluntarily collaborated with the investigations. The defense also says that there is no conclusive evidence of malice.

To bury Dayara, the suspect had the help of a 19-year-old employee, who was indicted for concealment of a corpse and procedural fraud. Also, a 40-year-old woman was also indicted for procedural fraud. Paulo Bianchini was indicted for qualified homicide for futile motive, concealment, femicide, concealment of a corpse and procedural fraud.

The bones were found to be decomposed, according to the Civil Police. Due to the advanced stage, it was not possible to determine the cause of death. The body was removed from the hole by means of a backhoe.

“The farm has 112 bushels and the body would have been buried with a machine. Thus, we searched the place where he operated the machine and located the corpse buried approximately 5 meters away,” explained the delegate to g1.

Read Paulo Antônio Bianchini’s defense note in full:

“In attention to the press, due to news published about the indictment of Mr. Paulo Antônio Eruelinton Bianchini due to the death of Mrs. Dayara Talisssa Fernandes da Cruz, the defense clarifies that: Mr. Paulo Antônio is a primary defendant, has a good record, fixed residence, not having in his past any conduct that discredits him. In addition, he did not hide from the criminal investigation measures, as he spontaneously appeared before the police authority when his temporary arrest was decreed and collaborated with the investigations, being at the disposal of the Judiciary for trial.   Finally, the facts surrounding the death of Mrs. Dayara Talisssa have not yet been fully clarified. The testimonies provided so far demonstrate a fatality and are not conclusive to prove a possible intent of the accused. There are no images that show the moment of death, and any speculation that turns the accused into a convict is frivolous and subject to civil and criminal liability. Confident in the judgment of the Judiciary, these are the clarifications that we believe are sufficient for the moment.”
