Teams from the security and rescue forces of the Government of São Paulo are moving forward to complete the work of removing the victims of the accident with the Voepass Linhas Aéreas aircraft, which occurred on the afternoon of last Friday (9) in Vinhedo.
More than 50 professionals, including firefighters and experts, are still mobilized in the rescues. So far, 50 bodies have been removed from the accident site, two of which have already been identified through dactyloscopic examination.
Of the total, 37 bodies were sent to the Central IML of São Paulo for identification and subsequent release to the families. The others are on their way to São Paulo.
The unit continues with uninterrupted and exclusive care for the victims of the air accident. The team has 40 professionals, including doctors and forensic dentistry, anthropology and radiology teams.
The other occurrences that would be attended to at the site are being directed to the IML units in the east and west zones, which will operate 24 hours a day. The IML in the north zone will also provide support, during the day, for medical clinic cases.
Welcoming family
members Throughout this Saturday, 17 families of victims of the accident with the Voepass Linhas Aéreas aircraft were welcomed in the auditorium of the Oscar Freire Institute, near the central unit of the Forensic Medical Institute (IML) of São Paulo.
The service was carried out until 5 pm this Saturday (10) and will be resumed on Sunday (11), starting at 9 am, by teams from the State Civil Defense and the IML. At the institute, the work continues uninterruptedly for the recognition of the victims.
The family members were instructed on the delivery of medical documentation that can help in the identification of the bodies, in addition to the collection of biological materials for genetic tests, when necessary.
For better service to all, the collection of genetic materials follows an order for the selection of families, starting with the mother and father of the disappeared, mother or father, plus son or spouse of the disappeared, children and spouse of the disappeared, mother or father, plus brother of the disappeared, brother and spouse of the disappeared, two or more siblings of the disappeared.
