The French authorities arrived, on Sunday morning (11), at the scene of the accident in Vinhedo (SP).
In the group, three representatives of the French Office of Investigations and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety (Bureau d’Enquêtes et d’Analyses pour la Sécurité de l’Aviation Civile, BEA, in French).
The BEA was summoned by Brazilian authorities and will now collaborate with the investigations and analyses. The ATR-72 model was manufactured in France and it is natural to collaborate in the event of accidents.
Also in Vinhedo are representatives of the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB), the country where the plane’s engines are made.
The BEA and TSB are the French and Canadian equivalent bodies to the Center for the Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Cenipa). Therefore, experts from the three nations must act in the investigation of the causes of the accident.
In a note, the Fire Department informed that the teams finished the mobilization of the bodies at 10:45 pm this Saturday (10).
The debris remains at the site for evaluation by the Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Cenipa).
Voepass trucks removed the engines from the ATR-72-500 to be sent to Cenipa in São Paulo (SP). Therefore, with the removal of the bodies, engines and tail, the next step is to send the wreckage for analysis.
