Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson they called off their engagement and separated after 7 years, according to MailOnline.
According to the publication, the Coldplay frontman, who was engaged to Dakota, “has now accepted that the relationship is over, and it’s better to move on.”
The American actress was photographed last weekend without her emerald engagement ring while walking her dog in Malibu, where she lived with the Coldplay frontman.
He is currently in Munich, Germany, on the European leg of Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres world tour.
There was further speculation that they had split in May of this year, after Chris gave a ride to a fan who later posted on X that the singer was “single.”
Back in June, a source told People magazine that they were still ‘going strong‘: ‘They’ve had ups and downs, but now they’re definitely back.’
“Chris and Dakota have tried desperately over the past few months to make their relationship work. They will always have love for each other, but they have both come to the conclusion that the relationship cannot be sustained for the long term,” a source told MailOnline.
“They’re both busy people, Chris has been to Europe with Coldplay and they both have personal priorities, passions and work commitments that don’t naturally intertwine, they wanted it to work but it just didn’t work, and now they’ve accepted that it’s better to move on.”
It is worth remembering that they had a brief separation rumor in 2019, which allegedly was because of him pressuring her to have children, but they quickly got back together.
Dakota appeared to confirm her relationship with Chris Martin in an interview with Tatler in September 2018, when she said, ‘I’m not going to talk about it, but I’m very happy.’
Gwyneth Paltrow opened up about her ex-husband’s relationship with Dakota in a 2020 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, describing how the actress became a part of her family.
“I love her. I can see how weird that would look because it’s unconventional. But I think in this case, just by going through it iteratively, I just adore her
.” Most of the party takes place inside my house,” Dakota told Elle in December 2021.
On March 8 of this year, a source confirmed the engagement to People magazine. “They were engaged years ago, but they were in no hurry to get married.”
Dakota Johnson comments on the failure of ‘Madame Web’Actress
Dakota Johnson, protagonist of the film Madame Web, said she was not impressed by the bad reviews the film received. “Unfortunately, I’m not surprised that this [the negative reviews] happened the way it is,” she told Bustle.
“It’s so hard to make movies. And this is starting to happen even with the little ones, which is what really scares me, decisions are made by committees, and art doesn’t do well when it’s done by committee. The films are made by a filmmaker and a team of artists around him,” he added.
The Fifty Shades of Grey star has stated that she is not expected to appear again in productions of the genre.
“But it was definitely an experience for me to make that movie. I had never done anything like this before. I’ll probably never do something like that again because it doesn’t make sense in that world. And I know that now,” he claimed.
Dakota said she understands the film’s failure. “It’s not cool to be part of something detonated, but I can’t say I don’t understand,” he concluded.
It is worth remembering that the feature received a score of 12% on the Rotten Tomatoes website, the lowest score of Sony’s Spider-Man films.
