Faustão Silva, 74, decided to open up about the  patrimony left by Silvio Santos. The iconic presenter who founded SBT died last Saturday (17), at the age of 93, after a bronchopneumonia.

The statements were given in an interview with “SBT Brasil”, last Friday (23). “We have always had respect. Each one has their audience, the legacy they left. When I say it’s not lip service: ‘He’s the true and only king of TV’. You have to talk about innate talent. He didn’t have radio training, he was self-taught,” he began.

The presenter also gave a direct message to the heirs of Silvio Santos, who had six daughters. “The best tribute they can pay to him is to have a lot of judgment, humility and learn more and more to value even more not only the millionaire empire, but especially the work he left”, he pointed out.

“Have lucidity and serenity to continue in the new times, increasingly difficult, but always guided by him up there,” added Faustão, who also highlighted the role of Íris Abravanel in uniting Silvio’s family before his death.

“Especially for Iris, who was a warrior and managed to unite the family, she managed to make Silvio have an old age with affection, respect and dignity,” he continued.

Trip in New York

During his participation in “SBT Brasil”, Faustão also recalled an occasion when he met with Silvio Santos. At the time, he and the owner of SBT were traveling to New York.

“I remember once I was leaving Domingão and I met him at the airport, we found out that they were both going to New York. We traveled just the two of us and talked, I was dead wanting to sleep and he was a mile an hour,” he recalled.
