Malafaia confirms Bolsonaro’s presence at an act against Moraes: “Now the stick will toast”

Pastor did not say whether the former president will speak against MoraesAgência Brasil

Pastor Silas Malafaia, who organizes an act against Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) on September 7, confirmed that former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) will be present and will help summon supporters to the event. The information was released by columnist Mônica Bergamo, from Folha de S. Paulo.

According to the religious, the demonstration this time will have a more aggressive tone compared to previous events and will focus on the attacks against Moraes. “The stick is going to turn on this guy,” said Malafaia when announcing the event.

At the February rally, both Bolsonaro and the religious asked political leaders not to make direct attacks on the magistrate. Now, after the series of reports by Folha de S. Paulo that revealed an alleged parallel scheme of investigation of the minister involving the structures of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) and the STF, the Bolsonarist wing wants to be more incisive in its criticism.

“But now everyone will say what they want,” says the pastor, saying that he will also raise the tone: “I will ask for impeachment and jail for him [Alexandre de Moraes”]. It will be a vehement speech.”

Malafaia says he will not “slander or insult”. Nor “to enter into this hysteria that the STF has to end. Only fools defend that, and I’m not a fool.” The focus will be exclusively on Moraes.

And Bolsonaro?

The religious, however, did not tell the column whether Bolsonaro will speak against the magistrate, since he is the target of a series of investigations in which Moraes is the rapporteur.

“I don’t command what he says. But, as far as I know, Bolsonaro will not conflict with Alexandre,” says Malafaia.
