Coach Dorival Júnior will give the list of his first call-ups to the Brazilian national team this Friday at 1pm (Brasília time). The event is scheduled to take place at the CBF headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. The live broadcast will be available on the CBF’s YouTube channel.

The squad to face England on March 23 and Spain on March 26 will include 26 players, surpassing the traditional 23. Initially, Dorival made a pre-list that included more than 50 names. It is expected that at least five new additions will appear among those selected.

Hired to replace Fernando Diniz after Carlo Ancelotti, a long-time dream of the CBF, renewed his contract with Real Madrid, Dorival needs to recover the team that is sixth in the Qualifiers and prepare the squad for the Copa America in June. Before the official competition, the team will face Mexico on June 8 and the United States on June 12, both on American soil.

At his presentation press conference, the former São Paulo coach revealed his desire to call up more players who play in Brazil. He also traveled to Europe to observe a number of players. According to the Uol portal, it is possible that five newcomers will be on the list: defenders Beraldo (Paris Saint-Germain) and Murilo (Nottingham Forest), left-winger Samuel Lino (Atlético de Madrid), and forwards Savinho (Girona) and Rodrigo Muniz (Fulham).
