In an episode that occurred in Patos de Minas, last Sunday (25), a man is in police custody after killing his girlfriend in front of her daughter because he suspected of betrayal andpost photos of the body on social media.
The crime occurred at the couple’s residence, located in a neighborhood of the city, where neighbors reported hearing gunshots and called the police.
Upon arriving at the scene, the police found the victim’s body in the kitchen, while the suspect, armed, refused to follow the officers’ orders. Given the situation, the police were forced to break down the door of the house to detain the man.
Suspect confessed to the crime
The suspect confessed to shooting his partner out of jealousy and then tried to take his own life. He was found with serious injuries and taken to the hospital, where he underwent surgery. The man remains hospitalized in police custody.
The couple’s daughter has been placed under protection, and her identity is being preserved to ensure her safety and privacy. The victim’s body was sent to the IML (Legal Medical Institute) for the necessary procedures.
