Left-back Jorge is now free on the market. On Thursday (7), Santos announced the end of his loan with Palmeiras, for failing to meet the physical requirements at the start of the season. And, on the same date, Verdão confirmed the termination with the 25-year-old.

Jorge had a contract with Palmeiras until the end of 2025 and agreed to give up part of the amount he would receive to terminate his contract. The player suffered a serious injury to his right knee while at Fluminense at the beginning of last year. At the time, he already belonged to Palmeiras and was on loan.

With the Palmeiras shirt, Jorge made 31 appearances, not having a long run since 2021. When he arrived at the club from Fluminense, he played just four times and has been out of action for almost a year. At Peixe, he didn’t even make his debut. As a result, the player is free to look for another club. In his career, he has also played for Monaco in France, Porto in Portugal and Basel in Switzerland.
