In addition to Dorival Júnior’s debut as coach, the Brazilian national team will also have another major novelty in the friendly matches against England and Spain, on the 23rd and 26th of this month: the uniform.

The Canarinho team, together with Nike, decided to bring forward the debut of the new shirts. The garments were to be worn for the first time only at the Copa América, which will be held in the United States between June and July this year. However, the Brazilian national team thought it best to present them to the public in the friendly matches.

Brazil is expected to wear the number 1 and number 2 jerseys in the matches against England and Spain, however, they still don’t know which match each one will be worn in.

The new model that the Brazilian national team will wear is notable for the positioning of the shield, which is now centralized on the chest. This hasn’t happened since 2004. Another striking detail of the shirt is the “V” collar design.

The match between Brazil and England takes place on Saturday 23rd at Wembley at 4pm. The match against Spain will take place on Tuesday 26th at 5.30pm at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid.
