A woman suspected of throwing acid on the young Isabelly Aparecida Ferreira Moro, 23, was arrested on Friday morning (24), according to the Military Police (PM-PR). The victim is hospitalized in serious condition at the University Hospital (HU) of Londrina.

Officers found the woman in a hotel courtyard. According to her, Isabelly was in a relationship with her ex-husband, who is in prison. Out of jealousy, she threw the acid on the young woman.

The suspect was approached at 5 a.m. on Friday and her name was not released.

According to the PM, she herself called the police to say that she was being chased by four men, but could not explain why. When confronted about why she was hiding, she admitted to the crime.

Delegate Tristão Borborema told the PRC that the investigation should be closed this Friday (24).

Security camera footage shows Isabelly calling for help from people on the street after being hit by acid on Wednesday (22). The barber Décio Silva was the one who helped the young woman and took her to the hospital.

“I picked up the girl, put her in the car and took her to the hospital. She couldn’t speak at all. I don’t know her, but I hope she recovers. God willing, she will get out of this,” Décio said in an interview with RPC, an affiliate of TV Globo.

The case took place in Jacarezinho, in the Pioneer North of Paraná. The victim had burns to his face, chest and mouth. According to the police, she even ingested the substance, which aggravated her health condition. Isabelly is hospitalized in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) at the University Hospital (HU) of Londrina.
