A little less than two months away from facing Jake Paul, in what is being called the “fight of the century”, Mike Tyson He fell ill on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles last Sunday, according to the New York Post.

Shortly before the aircraft landed, Tyson had an ulcer flare-up. Due to the crisis, the plane’s crew members requested that a doctor attend to the scene to attend to the fighter when the landing was made.

In a statement to the American newspaper, Mike Tyson’s representatives gave more details about the case and updated the boxer’s health status.

“Thankfully, Tyson is doing great. He was left feeling nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer outbreak 30 minutes before landing. He thanks the medical staff who were there to help him,” Tyson’s staff said.

The fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul will take place on July 20, and has been generating great anticipation among boxing fans. Despite the large age difference between the two (Tyson will be 58 years old, while Paul is 27 years old), the veteran is confident that he will emerge victorious from the fight.

“Anybody (is a) threat when there’s two men in the ring, everybody’s a threat, but I don’t think (about Jake Paul being a big challenge), we’ll see. I gave him (Paul) the warning: fight as if your life depends on it, because it does. I’m not worried about anything,” Tyson said in a recent statement.
