And Gloria Groove’s new project, “Serenata da GG, Vol.1 (Ao Vivo)”, has the ideal tracks to pack the mood of romance that the date provides. Two weeks after its release, the album surpasses 9 million plays on Spotify, peaking at #26 on the Brazilian weekly album chart. On Deezer, it is already the second most listened to album on the platform. On YouTube, the six clips already released add up to more than 4 million plays.
With 13 tracks in this first volume, the collection is a personal and romantic invitation, perfect for lovers on duty. Bringing a unique blend of emotion and rhythm, Gloria Groove stirs emotions and encourages the listener to indulge in passion, while immersing themselves in a musical journey that celebrates love in all its forms.
As a highlight among the love songs in the rhythm of the pagode, “Nosso Primeiro Beijo”, which had already gone viral on TikTok long before its release, already has more than 2.4 million plays and has been on a growing rise in the national Spotify chart, reaching the #84 position, with more than 270 thousand daily plays and on Deezer at #23, in the last update. On the CapCut, TikTok and Instagram platforms, there are already more than 90 thousand videos created by fans using the audio of the song, which talks about the flame of love being lit between two people even before they kiss for the first time.
Other songs on the project full of feelings are “The Gift of Life”, which is the first song made by Gloria dedicated to her husband in 10 years, and “Loucuras de Amor”, which mentions a famous type of love declaration: telemessage cars. The artist was surprised by one of these cars in the week of the release of “Serenata” and was moved by the tribute. To singles, one of the tracks expresses the feeling of there being nothing to celebrate on this date: “Eu Hate Dia 12” talks about missing someone, while the lyrical self sees couples together everywhere.
In May, Gloria pulled off surprises that excited her fans in warming up for the project. To announce the date and time of the release, the multi-artist passed through the emblematic Avenida Paulista and sang to pedestrians, handing out roses. The announcement of the song “Nosso Primeiro Beijo” as the first single was also made in a unique way, through a plane with a banner that passed through some of the main beaches of Rio de Janeiro.
The first of the two volumes of “Serenata da GG, Vol 1 (Ao Vivo)” features special guest appearances by Ferrugem, Alcione, Thiago Pantaleão, Gina Garcia and Belo, while the second volume, which will be released soon, will feature Thiaguinho, Mumuzinho, Menos é Mais, Sampa Crew and Ana Carolina. Recorded in Rio de Janeiro, the compilation features new songs, covers and re-recordings of Gloria’s songs in pagode versions.
