Boxer Anthony Joshua left his followers impressed when he posted a video on social media in which he appears to be undergoing a treatment with hot cups.
In the images, it is possible to see that the English athlete has several suction cups scattered around his body. The objects are on the fighter’s neck, shoulder, arms, chest, and back.
Although the treatment seems frightening, Anthony Joshua didn’t seem bothered in the video. The suction cup procedure is done in order to relieve pain and inflammation. In addition, the technique increases blood flow while also massaging deep tissues.
The application of suction cups consists of placing them heated on the body, so that the objects make a suction, creating a vacuum while they cool. The treatment leaves visible marks on the body and can cause damage if not done properly.
The posting of Joshua’s video garnered some reactions from fans, who commented on their impressions of the procedure. “What’s going on here??? Is this some kind of therapeutic practice??? It looks weird,” said one netizen. “That’s good, but I’m scared of the mark it leaves on the body,” another user commented.
